MobMap v3.43 released (edit: 3.44 out)

This update primarily changes a few things with the boss loot lists, but I think the changelog speaks for itself ;-)

v3.43:
- changed: Boss loot tables have been revised a little to include the new distinction between 10 and 25 player raid instances. An icon next to the "heroic" icon will mark loots which are only available in the 25 player version. The new instance "Trial of the Crusader" will also appear in the instance list now.
- changed: DATABASE FORMAT CHANGE! You will have to get a new database copy when updating!

The updated packages are already online for download!

[edit] There still was a small bug in the data collection subsystem which was fixed now in the just-released v3.44.

  1. Henrik says:

Please remove the Demon trainers for Warlocks from the database, they crash the game when clicked on in the merchant browser.

  2. Pailryder says:

issue with the boss loot table. the names of the dungeons are not displaying although you can now click the plus sign and see the bosses listed.

  3. tmac2488 says:

Boss drop section is not showing correctly, no instance names are showing what so ever.

  4. JohnsDk says:

Please show all loots, when I loot something spicial, it will never show up in database, while doing later search on that item.
It war like that one year ago, but not anymore.
Another ting, please remove all "unsafe items" from database, it will make the system go down, not smart if in instance or raid.

  5. Pailryder says:

Thank you for continuing to update and improve, very much appreciated!

  6. Moatu says:

Can Kristallsangkarotte/Crystalsong Carrot somehow be added to the german database?
I.E. Immerfrostscherbe is included as a quest item, but the carrot is not.

I posted this on an older post. Sorry about that.

I have tested and VERIFIED this.

There is a problem with the tools directory calls in Vista. It does NOT like Vista's default WoW install directory of C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft.

This is why people are getting the dreaded "addon not found" error. Please fix ASAP. I really love this addon. =)

  8. Covenant says:

That's not a problem with MobMap.

Get your installation of World of Warcraft to another directory. The easiest place to move it is right to the C:\ or root level of your hard drive. This will avoid a huge number of Vista issues.

Go to Blizzard's UI & Macros Forum for more information:

One thing that has always bothered me with Mobmap is the lock on merchants after searching or linking from a merchant sold item.

Example: If you search for merchants who sell Mana Potions. Then you can no longer look at other merchants unless they sell mana potions since the Merchant name/zone search is now dependent on the item you searched for previously.

I would like some way to clear the searched item.

  10. lovewolf says:

There is such a way, right click the item and it goes away,

I just wanted to say Thank You for MOBMap, wonder program. Makes all the difference in the game.

I am currently running MOBMap under Windows7 (64bit) Build 7100 (RC) and I wanted to share what I have found, and ask a question. Please forgive if this has already been covered.

To run MOBMap correctly it has been granted admin rights. Which is all fine until you go to upload your collected data.

Since WOW does not have admin rights it does not write its data back to the folder in "Program Files (x86)\World Of Warcraft\WTF\Account\...." So, MOBMap never finds any new data to send.

I have found where WOW does write its data to....
    "C:\Users\{username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\..."

If I copy the data from the second folder into the first folder MOBMap finds and sends the data Ok.

So, I was wondering if you could put an option to change where MOBMap looks (or where we can change it, if it can already be done)

    Thanks,

    Chris

For a few days now there's a problem concearning the quest tracker: Every time I use the question mark to localize mobs, they are displayed somewhere in Northrend - but I use it for quests in Azeroth with my twink. Is this problem already known or is there any problem with cartographer?

  13. Chris says:

On thing that I have noticed after the new Blizzard Quest menu came out.....

Make sure that you use MOBMap from the quest log and not from the quest tracker (on the right side of your screen) It seems that if you start MOBMap from the quest tracker it will always pull up the last quest that was highlited in the quest log. I've also seen it not find stuff.

    Hope that helps,

    Chris.

    Please correct the receipt for
Flask of Endless Rage / Fläschchen der endlosen Wut.

    You'll need 3 Goldclover / Goldklee instead of 3 Firebloom / Feuerblüte

PS: thanks for this great tool

PPS: maybe you could remove / reimport all receipts, because there are some that are changed (and I found mistakes at smithing receipts several time ago too).
