just released MobMap v1.41

This newest update to MobMap only includes some minor changes. It fixes a slight incompatibility with Cartographer that has emerged with WoW patch 2.1.0: the MobMap button and the dots on the world map will now be shown correctly even if you have modified the transparency of the world map frame. And it fixes a problem with posting links to enchants from the MobMap recipe database to chat.

Oh, and it updates the interface version numbers in the .toc files of course, so MobMap won't be listed as an "out-of-date" addon in the WoW addon list anymore ;-) .

I can't get ModMap to work. I downloaded the mod and put it in my addons directory, but when I start the game, a pop-up window appears saying, "Can't find database, ModMap will not load." or something to that effect.

I downloaded the latest database and it still isn't working. I'm running on an Intel Mac ... would that be a problem?

  2. Slarti says:

Intel macs shouldn't make any problems. You probably have installed the database in the wrong way. The .lua files in the database archive should end up directly in the MobMap directory.

  3. Lyfe says:

I am having the same problem... any work around yet?

  4. L4zY says:

My problem is this error msg: "Interface/AddOns/MobMap/Astrolabe.lua:508: Couldn't find CVar named 'rotateMinimap'"

i choose englisch by the installation and now its german.

  5. L4zY says:

    i used wow v. 2.0.12

  6. Slarti says:

    2.0.12 is not supported anymore.

  7. Ydrisselle says:

Well, I have updated to 1.41, and I'm not getting the MobMap button on the world map... No error report anywhere. (I have Cartographer of course.)

  8. Anonymous says:

Hi thanks for the new release seems I now have a problem when scaling the map (using metamap) The dots only go to correct position when the map is at 100% all previous versions worked fine.

  10. Domeroth says:

Having a problem with the new Mobmap. It's not as compatible with Metamap as it was before. When metamap scales down the large sized map, the dots of the locations go to odd positions. I adjusted the scaling and noticed the dots were moving. I don't know if this is a metamap bug, or a mobmap bug. I like using the two mods in conjunction, and hope the issue can be resolved, one way or the other.

  11. Shengting says:

This version doesn't support MetaMap anymore. But 1.40 does. Why?

  12. MaaG says:

    hello

i got small (or big) problem when i try to look on
recipes the game disconects me ?? O_o

  13. Phobios says:

Too lazy to inform you on another way, but found an error.

When you update the database, and press: see all-time stats WHILE you update the database, the program will crash.

Just an minor thing, but something to look at ;) Like disable the button while updating?

  14. Phobios says:

This is about the auto updater ofc, but guess you figured that out ;)

  15. MaaG says:

But why it disconect me from server when i look on recipes ??

  16. Humfras says:

Maybe you get disconnected because your Server do not know the recipes (were not dropped or build (e.g. the new Eng. heads) until now).
Just wait some days and try it again.

The Server disconnect was introduced in Patch 1.10 (I think), to protect the Server when an addon asks for unknown items (eg. see AtlasLoot).

  17. Neladurm says:

GJ, right up there with Atlas as one of the best addons.

  18. Doirbheas says:

I have reinstalled MM v1.42 and I am still having issues with seeing the MM position overlay in Cartographer. In order to visually see the positions in the overlay I need to set my transparency for both the map and the foglight to almost zero, otherwise the Cartographer display hides the MM overlay. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
