MobMap v2.12

So there had to be another bugfix release. This one fixes one important bug in the quest event data collection mechanism that was collecting erroneous data with quests which have multiple quest events to fulfill (you might have noticed it; those multiple targets quite often showed the same dots on the map, that is, they couldn't be differentiated correctly).

So if you are collecting data for MobMap (thank you!!!) please fetch this update :o)

Other than that, there still seems to be a strange bug out there with quest events not being found correctly when clicking the quicksearch button next to them. I haven't been able to recreate this bug here on my development machine, so I'd be glad for any hints. Nevertheless, the erroneous data collection has been important enough to justify an immediate release, so if I can recreate and fix this strange search bug eventually (or find any other bugs) there'll be a v2.13.

    apparently this option broke the options though, all preference options are gone completely, i can't even turn quest comments off anymore, which means i had to disable addon again, I do not like redundancy, if lightheaded is already giving me a large quest comment database, i don't need mobmap wasting memory doing same thing. These settings need to be returned so I can keep these useless features turned off.

    The MobMap options have just been moved to the generic addon options menu, reachable through the standard "interface" options screen of WoW.

    Ah i see, 2.12 turned them back on again, option is still there though in interface/addon. But I still hold argument that updating addon shouldn't zap preferences to re-enable unneeded features.

    also ich möchte nochmal zu dem Thema Quest Events was schreiben. Mittlerweile habe ich festgestellt, dass anscheinend alle Quests mit mehreren Quest Events, diese nicht anzeigen können. Sofern nur ein einziges Event für das Quest vorhanden ist, scheint es zu funktionieren. Ob das eine Art Folgefehler des Bugs vor 2.12 ist kann ich natürlich nicht einschätzen.
    Was mir noch aufgefallen ist, dass die mehrfach abgespeicherten Quest Events immernoch angezeigt werden, wenn man direkt über den Quest Event Frame darauf zugreift. Wäre es evtl. sinnvoll die komplette Quest Datenbank zu resetten und komplett neue Daten zu sammeln? Ginge doch wahrscheinlich relativ schnell oder?

    Das dürfte ausgeschlossen sein, dieser Bug hat nur bewirkt dass die Zuordnung von Positionen zu den Questzielen so oft durcheinander geraten konnte, dass da mit statistischen Methoden kein Filtern mehr möglich war. Die Ziele wurden trotzdem jeweils einzeln abgespeichert.

    Tritt dieses Problem bei dir eigentlich mit der deutschen oder der englischen Datenbank auf?

    MobMap Updater 1.79 still cannot connect through proxy for uploading data. Each try ends with error 10060.

    MobMap Dev.

    Can you please work with the developers of the Carbonite addon at www.carboniteaddon.com to provide native support for their map addon. So that I can use Mobmap with the Carbonite map addon and finally dump cartographer once and for all :-)

    ist das normal das es nirgendwo einen setup für MopMap gibt? ich habe mir ja jetzt den Updater geholt! und jetzt kommt immer eine fehlermeldung! und das steht auch das man MopMap einfach neu installiren soll! aber ich finde einfach keinen setup! kann mir mal einer bitte weiter helfen?

    hallo mir ist afgefallen da vor allem bei rezepten die angaben nicht korrekt sind auch sind oft bei den händlern mit einem (L) gekennzeichnete gegenstände angegeben (nehme an das das limitiert bedeuten soll)
    doch sind bei manchen noch nie welche aufgetaucht ! wäre mir neu das man die epicsteine oder rez wie mungo seelenfrost usw bei einem händler bekommt schätze mal das ihr da irgendwelche privat sever mit eingebastelt habt

    Mobmap und der Questlog buggen!

    Ich benutze das Addon "UberQuest", aber auch wenn ich dieses Addon deaktiviere buggt es.

    Der Bug hat erst im Questlog angefangen als ich bei einer Quest auf ein Fragezeichen von Mobmap geklickt habe.

    Der Bug:

    Ich klicke auf eine Quest z.B. auf die 2. von 10. Dann wird sofort die letzte Quest angezeigt und automatisch ausgewählt. Ich kann jede x-beliebige Quest anklicken, er springt immer wieder automatisch zur letzten Quest im Questlog.

    Bitte diesen Fehler beheben.

    Ich glaube ich habe das Problem gefunden. Es ist nicht das Addon "MetaMap". Wenn ich das deaktiviere funktioniert "Mobmap" und "UberQuest" wunderbar. Heul Kann denn keiner "MetaMap" aktualisieren?

    Wer hält "MetaMap" auf dem neuesten Stand? Kannst du das auch? :)

    Oder kennt ihr noch ein Addon das im Tooltip die Kills anzeigt für die Quests, z.B. 3/10 Orks.

    Unfortunatelly, my MobMap v2.12 doesn't collect any data right now. Other features work fine:)

    I'm using official EN_WoW_client + Russian language pack + Latest patch.

    So that's not simple EU_EN_client, it is RU+EN_Client + "English" chosen in "WoW Launcher".
